Advisors
Objective -- In 2014 SDED created an Advisory Board to advise the Directors on strategy and direction. The Board created the Advisory Board to ensure that:
Who are they -- SDED's Board appoints the Advisors. Advisors are 'subject matter experts' by virtue of their experience in their field(s), their perspectives and experience. Advisors cover a wide array of expertise- from research, economics and the law, to the breadth the depth of the clean energy industry. SDED is always open to expressions of interest from potential Advisors; please send inquiries to coordinator@sandiegoenergydistrict.org.

Role -- The role of Advisors is to provide their advice and perspective. Advisors guide strategy, member outreach and education, fund-raising, and other activities. They ensure that all SDED activities hear input from across the clean energy industry and the emerging energy marketplace.
Participation -- Advisors may participate through quarterly meetings, through planning meetings on specific initiatives with Directors and/or other Advisors (in person or virtually); and/or through phone conversations with Directors. The Board may also invite written comment on project plans and research white papers, policy positions and/or any other initiatives the Board may have under consideration.
