Advisors
Objective -- In 2014 SDED created an Advisory Board to advise the Directors on strategy and direction.
The Board created the Advisory Board to ensure that:
  • SDED Directors, staff, volunteers and other Advisors are all informed by the current experience and deep expertise from across the clean energy industry;
  • SDED's priorities, plans and initiatives are structured and pursued in the light of the best of current pertinent information and insight.

Who are they --
SDED's Board appoints the Advisors.  Advisors are 'subject matter experts' by virtue of their experience in their field(s), their perspectives and experience.  Advisors cover a wide array of expertise- from research, economics and the law, to the breadth the depth of the clean energy industry.
SDED is always open to expressions of interest from potential Advisors; please send inquiries to coordinator@sandiegoenergydistrict.org.

2015 Advisors -- SDED's 2015 Advisors may be seen here.

Role -- The role of Advisors is to provide their advice and perspective.
Advisors guide strategy, member outreach and education, fund-raising, and other activities.   They ensure that all SDED activities hear input from across the clean energy industry and the emerging energy marketplace.

Participation --  Advisors may participate through quarterly meetings,
through planning meetings on specific initiatives with Directors and/or other Advisors (in person or virtually); and/or through phone conversations with Directors.  The Board may also invite written comment on project plans and research white papers, policy positions and/or any other initiatives the Board may have under consideration.
