Solana Beach -- On May 24, the City of Solana Beach became the first city in San Diego County to say YES to Community Choice.   The City voted 4-1 to contract for phase 1 planning of a Community Energy Program (CCA).  Planning now begins in earnest.  See the news reported here.
Encinitas -- The Encinitas Environment Commission has led on community choice for the north coastal communities since its 2015 creation of a CCA Working Group (CCAWG).  Since then, Encinitas has been the proponent of an effort to gather several other coastal cities to cost-share a joint Community Choice Feasibility study.  As of early 2017, only Del Mar and had

Update: June 28, 2017, Encinitas City Council voted to move ahead with the shared Community Choice study. 

Carlsbad -- In September 2015, Carlsbad's General Plan update committed the City (in Policy 9-P.14)  to:  "Support a regional approach to study the feasibility of establishing Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) or another program that increases the renewable energy supply and
maintains the reliability
and sustainability of the electrical grid."

Update: July 11, Carlsbad's City Council voted unanimously to join the shared Community Choice Feasibility Study.
