SDG&E PROFITS ARE AN ABUSE OF POWER.
In 2014 SDE&E posted a record $507 million in PROFITS, after taking a $119 million charge for the early retirement of the San Onofre nuclear power plant. And this is what we call a "Public Utility". At a time when schools, hospitals, businesses and homes are struggling with escalating energy costs, SDG&E puts ratepayers' hard earned money in their pockets. To put it in perspective to the tune of $24.25 million a month. San Diego public schools pay $20 million a year for energy at a time when they are struggling with budgets, and teacher salaries.
